Considering the value of my accumulation
Getting the snow out of the driveway was a little harder this afternoon. No more soft powder; this was akin to moving an outcrop of rock. Son #3 wondered if we owned a pickax; soon, we may. This is only the beginning of the season, and we’ve already received about a meter of frozen precipitation.
My duty fulfilled, I decided to indulge in an afternoon of Canadian Pickers. Not the first time I’ve mentioned this; there is a guilty pleasure in checking out the valuable stuff that gets stored away in others’ basements and barns. I don’t have the budget to go out dealing (a sigh of relief is heard through the household), but knowing the wealth I’ve set aside for future consideration should gain me a few rounds of “thank you.”
Checked out my plan for a standby generator with someone more knowledgeable; I’m not crazy. Still have to analyze the required load, and the onsite fuel needs, but another line in the “new house budget” is added.
The man who designed the AK-47 has died. No correlation.
After watching a video tribute to the collected work of Jennifer Lopez, I realize just how talented she really is. Of course, I’ve said the same thing after watching [fill in the blank].
On the news, they announced that Santa Claus starts his voyage in just under eight hours. Haven’t thought about that bit of travel forecast in years. However… the Republic of Doyle skit for this holiday involves Dez spotting some moose on his roof, and shooting one. Any connection?
