And their interest quickly faded

On my todo list at work is setting up a pair of display units. Don’t need deteails; just take it that a display with HDMI is required. And, out of more than fifty monitors in the building, not one was suited to the task. Fixed that. Now we have a brand new large monitor, for the tech crew. Good.

Had a phone call from the phone company this morning. Some sort of survey, wanting to know if we were resellers, and how many employees we had under the roof. The third question was the deal breaker… Did I have any decision making responsibility? Said “no” and the interest level dropped to zero on the caller’s part. I wonder if that will work for other things.

The new fall TV season is underway. Last night: TBBT and Glee. Tonight: actually, I don’t know yet, but I’ll figure something out.

The only magazine that I still subscribe to has notified me that they are ceasing publication in a couple of months. I have been a digital client for several years now; suited me. Now I’m at a loss, because the only other publication in their niche is mediocre. Perhaps it is time to forget reading about that hobby and focus my attention on something else. So many possibilities.

Sometime in the next two days, I have to learn to program in Python. Impending assignment. The odds are against my acquiring the necessary skills, but I could hand in a “shell” assignment and plead for mercy. Have to flip some coins on that one.
