Solving simple problems
The highlight of the work day: when the paper in a jammed printer came out, all by itself. There was that proximity effect thing, where my standing nearby did something, but as long as the staff continue to believe in my magic, I’m safe. Lots of days like that. The requests and questions aren’t as challenging as they used to be. More and more, I’m like an old hound that fetches because it’s polite, not mission critical.
A special shout out to my mother, who is doing the birthday thing. I’ll have to take a raincheck on the ice cream and cake.
Happened to see a sun phase map (it goes with radio propagation), and we’re just past the equinox thing. Three months to winter, six months to spring, nine months to summer. That’s what really counts.

The Island has a new telehealth service. That’s where you dial an easy-to-remember phone number and talk to a trained health professional about your aches and pains. Much better strategy that driving in to “emerg” (with a soft g) for a sixteen hour wait to talk to a trained health professional. As a plus, your home chairs are more comfortable, and you can have a cuppa.
