Spotty collections
There. I’ve moved my latest acquisitions from the local hard drives onto external media. The game is to match the power supplies and USB variations with the particular drive case. There’s no simple answer (other than investing in a whole new set of externals with one interface, and then donating the various individual drives to someone in greater need. It’s OK, I can hear you. And see you waving.
I’d love to understand the spotty availability of certain magazines in local shops. I can go for months without a problem, and then several months will pass with no trace of the new issues. Hard to handle (when you are a compulsive collector of things in series). Lucky that I’m not in love with pennies, or something else more expensive. Saw where some deluded soul spent millions on a Ferrari… he could have owned the complete Lada set for what he paid.
The bus puzzle is starting to make sense. As long as I pay close attention to the clock and related schedules, the delay for my homeward leg should be stable… until the snows return. I won’t miss trying to interpret bus schedules.
Son #2 stopped by for supper. Steak as visit bait; who knew? Also, a chance to admire the superbike, although I didn’t see him zooming up and down the street. Maybe next time. I get to handle the technical problems, like “why does my Internet disconnect all by itself?” At times like this, I can only hypothesize. The easy part of network science.
