Heads up for a zap or fifty
Something to look forward to… the phone call at 08h00 this morning invited me to drop by the hospital tomorrow morning at 08h00. Bring a designated driver, because the laser surgery might leave things blurry (Huh?). I’m actually happy. Our public medicine will take care of you. The delays; let’s not go there. I actually expected this call about three months back. No matter. I’ll be there.
The heat wave hasn’t broken, yet. When you find me and the dog hiding downstairs with popsicles, you know that the season is on the warm side. At least I have wifi. The dog only has me for entertainment, and he’s heard most of my jokes already. Next up, POS (public outbursts of song).
I’ve learned that the various water additives that are advertised with stranger and stranger ads (yes, MiO, I mean you) are little more than expensive ways to get a little sugar (or worse) into your H20. Expensive, at a quarter per portion. Nutrition… let’s ignore that. Otherwise, the illusion will be spoiled. An alternative might be to pitch a couple of slices of cucumber and a few sprigs of mint into the water glass. Better for you. Or, pineapple and rosemary (I haven’t tried either). Highly recommended by the nutritionist. There. no MiO for ME.
We running in a thunderstorm alert. Lost the cable system right at the start of the evening news. Electricity off: 6 seconds. Cable off: 6 minutes. Pretty unimpressive reboot time for a rebranded Cisco switch. Must be some heavy processing going on in the background.
