Trying to repack for resale
Hard to put some things back in the box. Literally. I’m contemplating the resale of a personal gadget, and I’m the kind that hangs on to the original packaging. Just because. The grain of sand (the one that irritates) is when it comes to putting back all the other stuff that came on day one. The manuals on a CD; OK. Cables; OK. The power supply. Hmm. Standard USB… I’m willing to bet that one of the kids has it, to keep an iPod juiced. Or in clearer English, “Kiss that one goodbye”. On to alternatives, and there are a few. Maybe I can convince a future owner that it just isn’t that important, and my price point has been adjusted.
Today, I unwrapped the new keyboard, plugged it in to the computer and rejoiced. It worked. Clarifying here, this is a “keyboard”, not a keyboard. Think piano, instead of typewriter. Musical orientation. In my case, an Oxygen49, from M-Audio. Nice piece of gear, with lots of possibilities. And it works. Nothing wrong with simple satisfaction. The unit is back in the box, for now (a space thing), but my choice seems to be the “right one”.
And with some nice weather, son #3 has scraped down the front lawn area, in preparation for replanting. Trees and dogs do not favour grass growth. Seed is cheap, and the growing season is long. Methinks that the lawn mower will be more necessary than ever. The weekend is almost over. The laundry is drying, and there’s a two hour “end of season” for Republic of Doyle this evening. All is good, and then there’s tomorrow.
