Maps and photos and other trivial support
I love the support Google offers when I watch a movie. I’m not content to see a handsome house any more; I have to know the where, and when and anything else that others have added to the pool of data we now assume as ours. Watching an oldie (Lethal Weapon 2), and that house that gets pulled downhill… it exists. No, it didn’t go anywhere, because I can “see” it. In satellite pics, and Street View, and in photos taken by others. I can even get the relative value in their local real estate market (and no, I can’t afford it.) But at least the information was available.
Can’t watch movies all the time. My final week of course videos are up for my latest effort in continuing education. There’s been some value in this one, and I’m going to try to put some of it in to practice. Soon.
The media is having a field day trying to guess what might actually happen over in the north half of Korea. Not making cars, in any case. The glorious leader continues to wave his arms in the air (like he just don’t care) while the Americans do that odd little waltz towards a new war effort. No fear. Show no fear. Either of you. Meanwhile, the rest of the world will wonder which one is batshit crazy and which just a little bit.
In Montreal, the police have seized the head of a mascot used in protest marches. Provocation or self-protection? Not sure.
