Hall Of Fame nostalgic

posted in history, music |

When there isn’t a movie worth the watch, seek out the music. And we did. From time to time, the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame awards are available for view, or review. At least, music doesn’t come packaged with a “best before” date. Heard it before? Doesn’t matter. If I sing along, (again), it doesn’t matter. With enough practice, I will get the right words in the right order.

Went looking for our loaner dog, late this afternoon. And didn’t find her. “Where, oh where, can that little dog be?”  Sorry.

Back to the music. I enjoy hearing the “back story” behind the names of my lifetime soundtrack. Let’s face it – some of these guys (for the main, rock is a male dominated industry) have put on a show (mainly off the stage) that make a movie worth the making. Whatever that means. How do you explain someone like Rod Stewart to someone who thinks that the Bieb is a star?

I’m getting nostalgic.

Moving right along. If current tendencies continue, I’m going to ride this “Coursera” horse for another while. Signed up for three more short courses, to take me up to summer vacation. Mainly music flavoured. So much to learn, so little time. My first album isn’t done, yet. Need to keep on task, and a few more tools in the kit are a good thing. I’m stuck in microphone want, right now. There’s the expensive stuff, and then there’s the stuff I either have or can afford. Two solitudes.
