Preparing for some reality TV
I’ve got a blind spot in my life. What does the dog do, all day, when the family is elsewhere? If things go according to plan, I may know, as early as the weekend. One of the webcams that isn’t in service is going to serve as a sentinel. I don’t care if the dog feels uncomfortable; if I can be on cameras in public places, he can be on camera in mine. Just a matter of patience.
The new router required a restart to allow my “hole in the firewall” to work, but watching the webcam view on the smartphone (public IP address) was proof of concept. Now to see if the dog does anything during the quiet hours of daylight (other than sleeping on the couch).
There’s a certain amount of attention aimed at a certain senator from the Island. The question is “Does he or doesn’t he?”… live on the Island. His lack of a valid PEI health services card (which came to light when he petitioned the minister of health for a shortcut to getting one rapido presto), and his inability to collect that property tax rebate that Island residents merit (can I get credit for hours spent in a tent?) are symptoms of a greater problem. Why does the good senator feel entitled to a living allowance on the public sleeve?
This story has legs, as they say. Journalists care about such things, and the senator, (coming down from a lifelong career in the field) should know this one. Good luck, big buddy, and when the demand for repayment of fraudulent expenses come in, suck in the gut and take it like a man, as they say.
