Perplexed about the palette of choices (for vacation ideas)

posted in environment |

The flea market visit was a disappointment, yesterday. Closed stalls and all that stuff (locked away). I returned for a second try, this afternoon. More access to other people’s stuff, but nothing to entice coins from my palm. Or maybe I’m getting my own supply of stuff, and the next step will be applying for a home flea market kit. Time will tell.

My batch of curried pork was well-received. Get up early, cut the chops, mix the curry slurry. Cook slowly until I’m unable to delay the hunger pangs any longer.

This “slipping into vacation, slowly” is keeping my stress level higher than expected. I keep dealing with twinges of anxiety about running out of time. I know, that applies to life and vacation. I’d be happier if we were “sprinting” to some important location, but there’s always next week. Flipping a coin and heading off in an undetermined direction could be fun. There’s another passport holder in the household; we could even dare to cross a border in search of the elusive Maine sunrise. Or, the legendary New Hampshire tax-free zone. I wonder if the dog would welcome a visit to a genuine ham radio market? Morse code from a wagging tail? I’ll test the hound, the next time he’s paying attention.

This evening might inspire me to swim (in a limited circle). I’ll give it some thought and then plunge into the water. Or not. My choice.

This is vacation. No need to go to the office tomorrow. No need to do anything. Before next week, at least.
