Serving as the center of attention
Oh, my! Based on the TV program we’re watching, we are not prepared for a disaster. Those two bags of rice aren’t going to be sufficient for whatever goes terribly wrong. On the distaff, I have the “enough stuff to read” covered. Glad to know I’m not completely out on a thin branch. Preppers, on NatGeoTV, proves that some people worry more than others. Somehow, I’m not dreaming of a year in the basement, but if I was, I’d have company.
My concerns are more immediate. I’m on vacation, and I don’t have a plan. Might have to spend a few hours tomorrow, finding the tent and sleeping bags. Might also have to get a blindfold, some darts and a large map (the paper kind, not my computer screen). You know the routine: random decision making. There are no D&D dice around here, but I can guess numbers…. 7. There, job #1 done.
Caught a really neat family pic on FB this afternoon, wherein three of my sisters have gone to meet the cousin of a cousin just before a concert in central Ontario. I’d post it here, but that isn’t how I rock and roll, or folk, or whatever.
We’re dogsitting this evening, which means that when the pizza arrived, I was the center of attention. Every crumb took on new importance for somebody. I wonder if canine taste buds realize how much better humans have it when it comes to the food bowl game. If you’ve ever tried kibble, you understand. Bland is more than a colour scheme.
