I repeat, there’s less snow this year
I’ve decided to try a little bit of continuity in content for this springtime period. About two weeks ago, I posted a pair of pictures taken exactly one year apart. I realized, in digging around, that I had actually covered a six week period last year, while sending messages back to a friend. So, why not try to repeat the same sequence again this year? If I can keep my life scheduled enough to make it to work every day, I can probably handle taking three dated pictures.
Of course, repeating a photo is easier than back in the days of silver salts. I have preview, erase, various editing tools that make the whole process rather immediate. When I remember how much time I spent in the presence of “fixer” three decades ago, I’m content that digital science has arrived. In spite of my doubts about the “record” we’re going to have when our various storage media fail, for now my new cameras are kind toys. Easy on the nerves. Keep me out of dark, smelly rooms with strange lighting. Don’t require regular fund transfer to Kodak or Ilford or Agfa.
In passing, the month of March is leaving with tiny footsteps.
So, here is series two. Once again, there is less snow accumulated this year. I’ll let you figure out which picture is older…
