Hit or miss proposition
Spooky… the resident iPad 2 just chimed. Steve Jobs has left the building. Didn’t know that operating systems were programmed to do such things.
Actually, he did leave the world a better place. I say that as one of the few people in my orbit that doesn’t own an iPod, or an iPhone, or an iPad or anything else “i”. The old Macintosh box that holds up some other machines doesn’t really count, since we don’t even turn it on anymore. Too past date. The personal device pantheon exists, in the main, because of his efforts; dare I say genius?
I received a personal invitation to attend a conference in Montreal earlier this evening. Well, not exactly the conference; I have the chance to play a supporting role. Tempting. Means using a vacation day at a time when snow is a possibility. Might also involve a train ride or two. Some reflection will be necessary.
I’ve learned that teamwork coordination by email is a “hit or miss” proposition. Too little time to say what needs to be said. Might be the delay in transmission. Not nearly spontaneous enough. Back to preparing “to do” lists, I guess.
There’s a flight to the far northern limits of my school board, tomorrow. Worth mentioning because I’m NOT ON THE MANIFEST! Sometimes the dice do roll in my favour. Sure, the five hours in a small plane is (knuckle whitening) exciting, but there’s snow today, tomorrow and the next day. Don’t need to play angel just yet. Next year will be soon enough.
