No matter that the sun did not shine
A lack of daily sunshine might seem troubling to others, but I have found a solution. My weather station website offered to report the hours of sunlight. I didn’t have the necessary sensor, given a current price of more than $200. Ergo, I’ve edited the webpage and removed the tag. Problem solved. I can measure the rain.
The weather. Everyone talks about it, some record it. I now have an ever-increasing lot of numerical data. The wind blows, the rain falls, the temperatures rises and descends with a regularity that is elegant to behold. Numbers can be compared, graphed, transferred to others. Little matter that yesterday’s situation is hardly as important as tomorrow’s.
In the interest of scientific study, should someone wish to donate the sunshine sensor, I would install it and add the link.
The long weekend has passed, sans anicroche. Back to regularly scheduled programming in the morning. Son #3 is rushing to complete semester requirement, which saw me at dawn trying to print to transparency film (the Epson printer doesn’t, the HP does; hurrah for old technology). After that, I had to saw a section from a broom handle, or a rake handle. Something no longer works, so I’ll be off to purchase a replacement. The hidden cost of parenting.
The world didn’t end, either. You may have heard about an astonishing analysis of pseudo-history, that fixed the date for the end of time. Seems that the calculation was flawed. However, those who believe are not easily swayed. The website offered up two versions, on the fated date, and I was able to capture the two for your benefit.
