Planning to carry
Got to pace myself; long weekend and all. Do the things that require outside effort during the high holy sunlight time, and keep the inside jobs for later. Or not. It’s the weekend, and there’s no reason to get all stressed and strained.
My new camera bag is finally in service. Getting it home from the delivery point was easy, but the part that required planning – laying out the internal subdivisions has waited for several days. With the help of others on the net, I was able to get some ideas. And then when the time came, I used my good judgement (and the actual dimensions of my gear) to put together a working solution. It may change. For now, here’s the starting point.
It’s going to require some adjustment. The idea, I mean, of having enough space for a camera, three lenses, a flash and a pile of other sundry items. No more excuse for arriving and finding that what I wanted to use was elsewhere. Looks like a plan.
We’ve finished the first season of The Tudors. I realize that I should have paid better attention in history class. Wait, I didn’t even take that course. Didn’t seem relevant. But, like in the works of Shakespeare, “The more things change, the more they remain the same”. Politics and power change people into something else. Look to current government for parallels, if you must.
The decision by Netflix to downgrade quality in their Canadian feed is getting more noticeable each time I tune in. Pixellation. Downright blurring, if that is possible. We’re no longer in a HD world, and I blame the cable company for it’s retro data plans.
