Sunday is a day of rest

posted in media |

There, I said it. Today we rested. Nothing else. No reason to get excited; it doesn’t cost much and when there is no pressing reason to get out and about, one should take advantage.

I know, there’s only about three weeks until Christmas, and we have accomplished zero shopping. The house is in a relative state of disorder; nothing new or startling there. The dog has enough rubber toys to make annoying noises at any moment. The boys have WOW game cards that still have “juice”.

The first interviews with Mr. Dion have aired, and I have to go with the joke that says “maybe he won because his family has quintuplets and his sister is Celine”. Any reason is as good as another. I will give credit though, he is polite to everyone.

Must get ready for another week. I did finish an intriguing book this evening. Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane. He wrote the novel behind Mystic River, so he’s not a rookie, and the book kept me guessing right until the end. I’ll leave you with that recommendation.
