Hummingbirds and media players have nothing in common
My longer day is coming to an end, and I can’t point to a single thing that I’ve done to improve my fare. I did sleep in, a little, but that was accidental. I managed to reset nine clocks in record time, but there are still some wrist watches and personal alarms that escaped intervention. Oh, and I watched some football, but the teams that had my favour lost; thankfully I’m too poor to have a betting habit.
Tonight, we have the opportunity to watch a music awards show. I’m confused, though. There was another show, with almost the same name, last evening. Without knowing the back story, how can I give my undivided attention to the gala? Plus, we’re watching a documentary on hummingbirds, who have cooler costumes and can move much faster than the usual performing artist. I’d actually like to fast forward to next summer to try capturing (imagewise) some birds. I know where they hover, so there’s a chance.
The media box may be out of service. I wiggled wires, pushed buttons, wished with all my might but there’s no sign of the box returning to a functional state. This was a unit that was purchased used, several years ago, from someone else who’d found it on eBay. No chance of warranty service, I guess. When I mentioned that I could try and buy another one, the family consensus was that the PS3 made a better media unit, and if we were going to waste money, we’d be getting something that could handle BlueRay as easily as AVI.
