Snow by the kiloton

The snowstorm of Christmas Day 2005 is being cleared from the neighbouring street, which means that the big trucks have begun their parade. Roughly every seven minutes, another machine applies its “Jake” as it corners by our house, the floor vibrates from the passage outside, and another few cubic metres of snow head off to the party.

The obvious question: will the effort extend to our street, or do the old rules still apply?

Well, a few minutes have passed, and the big snoweating beast has passed, making our driveway just a bit more accessible…
