Books galore

posted in travel |

We didn’t have enough sunshine predicted to call this a beach day; the wind guaranteed sandblasting for free and rain showers are not warm enough to warrant skipping a trip to town. The others decided to catch a movie, so after some shopping I left them to their dark room and went over to campus to look through the community history section.

The newest residence on campus is much more “posh” than anything from my time there.

I took a spin out to Brackley, where my old school building no longer exists, and then over to Winsloe where the school building is now home to a garage. Back to pick up the others and go downtown to shop for used books and just wander around for a while before supper. We opted for Chinese in the Golden Wok. The waitress has been on staff there for thirty years, and before that worked there when it was called Dows.

We had a CBC outage on the way back east; a rare occasion. Updated the blog while parked in Souris.
