If you love someone (in a modern context)
I’d like to take the credit, but there were T-shirts and wall posters with catchy citations before I entered the marketplace. My first poster had something to do with flying, but I’m not going to bother seeking it on the net this evening; it was insightful at the age of thirteen. Less now.
Here’s one for the moment though. “If you love someone, let them go. If they come back, they were meant to. If they don’t, then you should stalk them.” Not exactly what Richard Bach had in mind, but thanks to the roomful of randy writers over at Two And A Half Men it fits (in a world where Facebook and Myspace allow the rest of the world to keep an eye on you).
In the news this evening, we have the election of a first ever NDP government in NS. Rodney the Fiddler is no longer either paying the piper or calling the tune. In Ottawa, the insight that isotopes are sexy isn’t enough to sway the swagger of our current government. An even better iPhone has just been announced, and I still can’t afford to own one.
Off the coast of Florida, a fisherman landed a live one – a missile. The Air Force claimed that it wasn’t explosive, but exploded it anyway. In Charlottetown, the police called in the army to disarm a grenade found in a local garage. Slight delays were incurred due to the bridge being closed for a cycle race. My knowledge of Island military history is slim, but I don’t think it was left over from enemy hostilities in the area.
