Bluetooth not Blueteeth

posted in computing |

My second Bluetooth adaptor arrived today, following a long and arduous journey that began over a month ago in the land of eBay. Anyhow, I’d figured this would be an easy install, since I’d already used one from the same company and the drivers should be ready to rock and roll. Note to self; nothing is ever EASY.

Two Bluetooth adaptors do not want to live in the same environment. Unless, of course, one thinks the other is a client. Useless information. No. Just a word to anyone else that heads down this road; give the second adaptor to a needy person. Save your time.

I haven’t broken anything. I can still Skype. When the battery on the laptop gets to zero, expect the reboot to take a lot longer than it should. Hope that the person on the other end of your Skype is forgiving. Do not forsake the Bell people for “real telephone service” just yet.

The learning curve may actually be greater than 360 degrees.
