Check your change (purse)

posted in education |

But, it could be important: Canada wonders if we are due (overdue?) for an upgraded coat of arms. The one that used to be seen on certain coins. Remember coins? In this case, the Fifty cent piece. At a bet (safe one), there are none of these in your back pocket, or the family change purse. The thing is, duringr the last century, there have been a few changes in the bigger Canadian story. We added one province, for sure. Changed the name of a couple of those mysterious territories that many will never visit, in a lifetime. Became a true nation, with our own rule of law.

A coat of arms. How quaint. Heraldry to the max. Someone in academia threw the question out to the public, and now the discussions begin. If you can’t find a proper coin around the house, there’s always Google. In fact, that’s good. We used to review history by referring to what went before. Now we look it up, with no reference to a timeline. I will not add an image here, because I might find the wrong one, adding to the confusion.

Flurries, now. We have placed the winter “paws” in the trunk of the car, and tomorrow they’ll be swapped. Then we have to hope that the neighbours are equally filled with wisdom because the “great slide” will begin.

And what else? The newest variant continues to manifest its presence. What was a rumour is now ours, from sea to sea to sea. Of course, the government has missed the window of opportunity (to seal the frontier), so now we head into uncharted territory. Should take two weeks to learn just how virulent the winter will be.
