Less light, temporarily
Until tomorrow, the kitchen is a bit darker. We have light fixtures, mounted beneath the cupboards. And, until now, we have paid little attention. Cue the darkness.
It has to do with the habits of the construction company, and their choice in fixture. This time around, a well-concealed fluorescent unit, with a bulb that is hidden from view. It required a big mirror, a small flashlight and a screwdriver, plus someone with better eyesight than yours truly. A new bulb/tube was on the to do list for today’s city trip; given the hour, I’m going with “it shall be done”. Tomorrow, the test.
I have been told that my sleep patterns seem unstable. Erratic. I’ve done the only thing possible, and drawn a strong cup of espresso. Now. As in, after sundown.
What else of note? Unsure. I don’t go offsight very often (because of my sight). Hey, the news is availaable at the click of a mouse, and if we get visitors, the dog will do his best to sound the alarm. At this time of yoear, he has a particular bark for “just spotted a fox”. Given that we have foxes in the area, twelve months of the year, I miss the advantage. And the fox doesn’t care. The length of the dog lead is a carefully calculated variable in the dog vs fox math. Little danger. But, then again, the fox isn’t saying anything (cue “What does the fox say?) And the dog believes that serving as a clarion will bring bounty, as in extra dog biscuits. We don’t do bones.
