And all at speeds below the posted limits
Some parts of the TV metaverse have changed from back when I was a young buck. Right now, in the background, a new series called “The Morning Show” (or by it’s alternate title “Holy F-Bomb Batman!”) I had not imagined that the sweet young thing from “Friends”, Rachel, had such a potty mouth. My money would have been on Feebs.
Mind, there are always surprises on the screen. Last evening, we watched “Come from Away’,”and I liked it. Not enough to want a room at the Gander Comfort Inn (had one, once; unremarkable). But this could be the sort of summer theater show that grows on one. I say this, as I learn the AOGG is coming back to the Centre Stage, in our city.
Our city also announced that one of the local arenas is going to be replaced, before demolition. Whew! Timelines can be treacherous. I’ve never gone to the particular arena for its ice surface. Always been to buy pots and pans and extra cutlery. This is (and will be) a multi-purpose facility. With ice. That’s important.
I rely on the local press for other play-by-play action. This week, a driver merited jail time for driving under the influence. Stopped at a traffic signal, put the car in reverse, damaged another vehicle that didn’t manage to avoid contact, put the car in forward, drove away. Across the city, across the bridge, in to a supermarket parking lot where police happened to be waiting (I guess). I can imagine the movie, all at speeds just below the posted limits. Because that’s how we roll, locally.
