A desire to go drip-free
After a recent effort to fill my RV water tank using a funnel, I decided that we need to step up our game. Not to deny the utility of the funnel, but the fill port is located on the exterior vertical wall of the rig, and water obeys gravity. That is, we managed to pour a lot of water on the ground.
I will procure an elbow, going forward. Until then, I have received another gadget: the water bandit. It allows attaching a water hose to an outside tap that lacks threading. Friction fit. One more tool in my gear pile.
Why? Well, even if we don’t drink much water while away from home, we still use it for general flushing. And the tank has a finite volume. This is my plan. By next summer, I will become an expert at refilling my reservoir. No rainfall required.
I’m watching the amateur hour efforts at health care in Alberta. I accept that there are a lot of people who don’t trust science. I hope that those same people will clue in to the stats. Right now, if I heard that I shouldn’t drive my car because the hospitals (in a given area) will be unable to assist me in case of a collision, I’d rethink my travel plans. Having a first aid kit in the trunk may not be enough, if things suddenly go wrong side up. Obviously, I have no desire to see “wild rose country” right now. And I’ll be watching my own health services, in case something here is contagious.
