Dump and fill
Yes, I was bored. Sometime around mid-afternoon, I decided that there was no imminent departure for the RV tourists, so I decided not to keep the fresh water tank filled. First, I hooked up the curly blue hose that we never use, but I realized that I didn’t have the required patience to water the lawn through such a tiny nozzle. Next plan: uncrew the big white plug from the bottom of the water reservoir, and let the driveway absorb whatever. It came out, by hand, which was surprising. The next fill will be when a) I need water or b) the next imminent departure might happen. Before that, we have some new rubber to install.
In the mail, a new graphic novel with content near to my heart. Showcasing my son, in the first chapter! Only after I had proudly posted a screen shot, along with a personal email from the author did I learn that my son and the scribe don’t actually get along.
Photographers have to be ready for the next emergency. For example: what if your favourite lens is no longer being manufactured, and there’s a risk of immersive damage from shoreline frequentation? I’m shopping in the used market, just in case.
I decided that I’d like to listen to a particular podcast. In the same breath, I learned that they’re “going off the aair”. So, the rest of my afternoon was devoted to capturing/storing close to two hundred episodes. Storage is cheaper than it used to be. Sometime before tomorrow, the whole catalogue will be here, just in case (I decide to actually listen to the content.)
