Reviewing the numbers on a new house (not for me)
An unexpected surprise from the developers over at Firefox; today, we received an updated interface. Not only that, but there are more colour schemes, including a “dark” one that actually makes me happy.
Looking back “at this time in history”, my attention was drawn to six years ago. This weekend, we locked the door to our house (leaving the key inside, which I still don’t get) and drove away under cover of darkness. Essentially, we were done with the address, and new owners would come along soon. For us, we were off to a short night enroute to our new address. A small detail in a long life. Here I am, that much older and still satisfied.
In fact, I took the time to feed facts to son #1 about going for an actual new house. He’s learning that the pre-worn dwelling aren’t always a great deal, so he’s going to check into what something not yet seen on Google Earth might cost. Of course, I have lots of advice (most of which he will ignore; a parent-child model that predates recorded history). However, it did let me look at our own numbers, and I think we did OK.
The muggy weather is here. With temperatures and humidity into the “red zone” on my personal comfort chart, I imagine the summer will be best spent in shade with a breeze. Not always a given. I could go to the beach. Or just hang out in the basement with cross winds from a collection of fans. To be tested.
