Imagine an exploding thread (if you can)
Having lived in a large city for better than three decades, I still take note of things that go on. Politically, the population learned today that the present mayor will not be offering again (he sat in the big chair for a full fourteen winters). Kind of a big deal, given the multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects that are underway. I mean, there are a lot of construction firms that will now be trying to see the future, given the way monies are distributed. I’ll be watching this one.
We don’t do politics that way, around here. Too small a population to have any “feudal overlords” in power.
I spent my afternoon quietly. After taking care of the necessary (laundry, for instance), my attention turned to researching other folk’s families. I won’t be through with that project any time soon. The data count rose past the 105K point, early this morning.
Outside, great weather. No, really. Not quite “head for the shore”, but it’s coming. I guess I’ll have to get my toes in the sand this summer (missed out last year). And the idea of actually getting wet isn’t off the project board. Maybe even some exposure to sunlight. Oh, the possibilities!
I’ve been involved, from the sidelines, in getting son #3 and 3D printing underway. Apparently a “dry box” is a good thing, because the various plastics react to ambient humidity. The absorbed water then explodes out of the thread while getting heated. I have no idea what this means, practically, but I’m a quick learner.
