No need to know, actually

posted in food, pets |

I have no idea about how they make the various pâté loaves. Don’t want to know. Can we simply accept that most of them add the missing ingredient to a slice of crusty bread? In fact, there are any number of foods that I don’t want to learn the origin or study the recipe. I accept that we have worked out “good” vs “bad” already, and that my species stopped eating the things that are wrong for us. Not bad for us; that’s a whole other cultural paradigm.

Right now, the fridge is stocked for the holiday. It doesn’t matter that we won’t be receiving family (unless I am in for a really rude shock), but there’s a semblance of normality required. We don’t want to drift aimlessly into a new year.

The postal people came through with my only big ticket purchase. Ahead of the scheduled day and hour. That makes me happy; blaming the delivery people for my shortcoming would be lame.

Our loaner dog arrived, a few minutes ago. We had already placed the food bowl out of reach, and the various waste paper bins are empty. Do we know the rules to this game, or what?

I’ve got a puzzle. I was sure that I had several toner cartridges in stock, but I haven’t found them (yet). It would be silly to go and order MORE, when the boxes are just out of sight. I’ll keep looking; not that I need to print, but I’m set on fixing a problem that will remain on my personal horizon until I do.
