The bauble rack
Outside my windows, I can see trees. Different each from the other; all part of our world where birds and bunnies take shelter. As we move into that season where some trees must be sacrificed to a seasonal tradition, we have found an alternative. years ago, we decided to forego the “natural” and tie into the “artificial”. Yes, we have a tree-in-a-box, thank you very much.
Before said replica can be placed in view (in the living room), there’s a need to shift some of the furniture. Every year, we notice that dust builds up, not only around, but beneath things. I’ve just completed the vacuuming phase where we recover lost areas of the house. Temporarily. It all goes back to near-normal around the time that we do the great calendar reveal.

And later today, maybe tomorrow, the tree-in-a-box will take form, and our precious selection of baubles will be brought forth. The visitor count may be low, but there’s always photos on social media. My only real fear is that when we get our loaner dog, the attached (ans untrained) tail will wreak havoc. I mean, he doesn’t understand. The irregular passage of foxes outside the windows will require that we remain vigilant. Not for foxes; dog tails. Our regular mutt has figured out that he can’t occupy the same space as the seasonal bauble rack, but as for the other fella…
