Some things just take longer than expected. The car has arrived, after its voyage on a fancy carrier truck, and the time from here to there was only twenty-five days. Similar to travel by bicycle, back when my knees had less to protest about. Oh well. Scratch that job off the list. The extra keys will go out in the morning mail, and it shouldn’t take much longer (despite the pandemy and the holiday rush). If someone asks for my opinion, I’ll break it down in terms of dollars per hour.
The rules for our new “circuit breaker” lifestyle have been published. Construction will continue, here; one tradesperson that will enter and leave without long conversations. As for any urge to go for a burger and fries… off the table. We’re back to raiding the fridge and freezer. Probably better choices, nutritionally.
I had my scheduled teleconsultation with a doctor, this afternoon. There is an assumption that my pain evaluation is of minimized value as a diagnostic tool. Or so I believe. I did have to answer some pointed questions from my local overwatcher. My feeling is that if I’m not bleeding, or screaming, life is fine.
Now that the vaccine might be available, we’re starting to consider/reconsider the implications. This won’t cure the ill, and it may/may not ward off “the bug”. How will we know if all is good? Do you get the needle and then start trying for contamination? Seems iffy. I’ll be waiting for the news (from others) before risking anything. Sometime by next year’s end.
Along the way, my database total passed 99K.
