Something about the “circuit breaker”
Keep on singing the “Don’t worry, be happy” song. It won’t fix anything, but you will be distracted.
Another briefing, late this afternoon, by the health officer and the premier. Four more cases, in the city, all in an age group that is supposedly impervious to viral danger. As a counter measure, we’re trying the “circuit breaker”; I have no idea what that means, but it does sound proactive. Apparently we’re closing the four high schools in the city, but the elementary schools are in business as usual mode. Restaurants are going (back??) to take out service, which will certainly reduce the number of plates on the dishwasher line. Stores are supposed to cut their capacity by 50% (again, no idea what that means). And I will continue to sit at home, hoping that I don’t run out of bread yeast.
Still no snow. Imagine the stress when I can’t leave home, even when I don’t want to. New skillset required. Actually, I should check the level in the kibble bag; if things get tough, I can share with the hairy fella. I mean, he gives me the paw-pat whenever I forget to tie him outside at meal time… I’m sure he won’t hesitate to let me have a corner at the chow corner.
The concept of holiday shopping just shifted gears. If I can’t get something online, I really don’t need it. I’m sure that Amazon had this in mind, years ago. Or I could dig into those unpacked boxes in the garage and find something unique AND forgotten. Second time around.
