Boosted a bike battery

posted in technology |

Getting  the outdoor temperature up into summertime range is such a nice thing to have happen. From my walk to the garage to retrieve a car, to the time spent reinstalling the roof racks, to the checking nooks and crannies for things that really should stay here with us… all good. All was done in short sleeves. I could have opted for cargo shorts, if I had so wanted. Yes, I realize that we aren’t going to avoid cold weather forever (I have no plans to spend the next few months in a tropical location). This is just a final hurrah to the great weather of the summer.

I hope son #2 appreciates his new wheels. The shiny interior of the car should instill pride, given that it is his first car.

The rumour of a vaccine against the pandemic seem to be founded in reality. CBC has already started to calculate who might get a place on the priority list (not me, so far) and every person who avoids the bug is one less risk for me and mine. Forget the talk of “herd immunity”. Highly unlikely. Life in the Atlantic Bubble is my best bet.

Did something out of the ordinary this afternoon. I “boosted the battery” on a visiting motorcycle. Had never considered that as being a thing. Happily, my super charger came to the rescue, and the bike left the yard under its own power. The biker has been courting misfortune for several weeks, apparently, and so far someone with cables has always been nearby.
