Three elections without any change noted
Imagine! In the last six weeks, we have had three general provincial elections. And in all three, the incumbents appear to have won the prize. Other than the obvious cost of conducting such a “test the pulse of the people” exercise, we can confirm that the will for change, any change right now, is non-existent. Yes, I hear the cries of those in the wilderness. How they want a new premier or prime minister. Doesn’t look like that’s about to happen.
There are more important things going on. Why, right here at home, we seem to have balked at the idea of newer, bigger windmills. And that enormous intersection from your nightmare, leading into the city, continues to stagnate. Something about difficulty procuring a traffic light that can handle the various possibilities for collisions.
We were supposed to get a new bridge, just up the road, but that hasn’t happened. I mean, to the best of my knowledge. I don’t get out of the yard enough to know.
So, how do I spend my days? Well, Twitter brings me snippets from around the world. Not going well, out there. Disease. Famine. Political unrest. Of course I read everything, because not knowing would be worse than the tension induced by being fed updates. All day, all night. Yes, I am my own worst enemy.
I did receive the new fan and bits of wire for the main radio. Guess I’ll have to dust off a corner and make the swap. Soon. Did I mention that I’m under little motivation, in these times?
