Not exactly a flat
Heading through autumn, the weather can turn nasty. Today, we had the sort of day where you wouldn’t put the dog outside. I tried. He showed his obstinate side. I stayed firm, and towards evening when the wind died down, he agreed with me. Just a matter of my showing patience.
Other than that, I had no reason to go out in a driving rain. Not even to go driving; the mail could wait. Instead, I handled things in a more comfortable way, with a nap. Here, the dog was with me. 100%. Funny how my bed is his bed, sometimes. I’d take a picture, but I was asleep.
So, what else made this day any different from those that went before? Well, I’ll reserve judgement.
We did have some messages from one of the progeny, last evening and today. Something about a flat tire that wasn’t, and lug nuts that were “made tight” with a power wrench, precluding any removal by the side of the highway. I have to go with some dark photos and assume that professional assistance was called. Apparently the tire did not require anything more than a keen inspection by that professional, plus a certain number of dollars. Even in times of roadside emergency, during the pandemic, the business spirit remains important. I suggested the purchase of a torque wrench (like mine) going forward, but apparently the fix was enough. I’ll wait for the next chapter in the life of a young driver. In passing, I haven’t had a flat tire in pretty much ever.
