Waiting for the wind to turn
Recently, I came across a phrase that explains so much about how we encounter new media. In this case, the expression “fell down a rabbit hole on YouTube” is good enough to put on a teeshirt. Yesterday, I tested the efforts of “trad bands from the Balkans”. This afternoon, I reviewed the “test reel” of a film producer from our big city; where else would I find those commercials for auto glass and cupboards that fuel the local news? To be fair, I didn’t know the source of the clips (until now), and they are still rather good, even if the producer’s children are often found front and center. I guess you make use of what you are most familiar with.
I now have the case for my most recent SBC; guess I’m going to have to burn me a distro and test things. There has been too much middle-of-the-night time gone into calculating where to attach leads to a vari-cap (another project), and having something novel to distract can’t be bad.
Outside, our fox has been seen more frequently; almost as if he correlates humans and food. I actually didn’t see him, earlier, but he was sitting near the car door, waiting for me to finish performing my regular reset of the seat sensor (it’s a car thing). Later, the dog became agitated about the fox and proximity. One of the ornaments from the living room tree met an untimely demise due to a flailing tail.
And we’re waiting for another windstorm, due to “blow in” tonight or tomorrow morning.
