Commercial bumps, etc.

posted in economy |

Watching the UPS van back into my lane this afternoon, I felt relief. Another delivery, here, on time. Amazon, you’ve got a problem, if you’re listening (of course, you are). I am starting to doubt the efficiency of your delivery system, and let’s face it, that’s all you have. No stores, in my universe. No staff. When I place an order, I have a reasonable expectation that you will come through. And, as of late, the process has an “iffy” smell. I have two different orders for some RF chokes out there. Both marked as shipped. Neither received. And we had the jelly belly fiasco, last week. There are others. You shouldn’t model your business after eBay.

Little matter. I’ll keep shopping, and ordering and then hoping you come through. No other choice.

The doctor’s office called this morning to postpone my next appointment. I’m actually rather calm about that, given that you phoned me prior to the drive. Shows me that you understand how this all works. Of course, I can assume my next appointment will be on a date when I can make it. But that’s my problem, not yours.

I happened to listen to some “older” music this week, thanks to YouTube. Let the record show: The Seekers were really good. The members could really sing, and I wanted to hear more. As for The New Seekers, less. That Coke ad was more of a commercial than a musical effort. Oh, you knew that? The real question remains: out of all the possible group names, why pick one so like a predecessor? Oh, wait. New Coke. Now I get it.

My family tree data set advanced past the 89K point, this afternoon.
