My life is chill
Someone mentioned that today is Friday, or “just like any other day” for me. It’s hard to get excited about the mundane. After all, my highlight of the afternoon was my trip to fetch the mail, where I didn’t bring the right key. Home again, I made the decision to let all (any?) envelopes remain behind the locked box door. Nothing that urgent comes by surface mail, any more. On the other hand, we did receive an order of shelving, in 2.5 meter sections, via Canada Post, which has me baffled a full day later.
We received a value added session this afternoon, when the HVAC lads drove all the way from Kensington to see if things were working properly. They verified the software on the water box, added some extra functionality to the chiller unit, covered the basics of the remote and showed us the filter units (long term planning). Remember, nothing on this list had been requested. Just good customer service. As I sit here, my life is chill.
The others went to the Ex, I think. Not sure if a ride on the Zipper was part of their plan, but I did receive a text message covering my supper possibilities (that had already been completed, as I’m an expert at fridge forage). My mother had a proper plated meal, and the dog thinks we are wonderful. I have no idea how the rest of the evening will unfold, but my imagined scenario includes me hanging tight until bedtime. Tomorrow, this round of company departs, and I prepare for whatever (whoever?) next week should bring. My life is chill, remember.
