As found on the doorstep
Sleeping in the RV means that the early morning light serves as a wake up. The sound of a car coming in the lane? Not so much. When I wandered in the direction of the house, finding visitors at the main door was a surprise. Good thing I had dressed appropriately, avoiding embarrassing consequences.
Extra company gave the push to prepare a full feature breakfast; marked difference from my usual cinn-bun menu. And once all the dishes were cleared away, life returned to a normal beat.
I had been forewarned that the contractor would be on site, and when he calked to cancel I lowered my defenses. Too late, as another contractor appeared to continue our electrical upgrades. This is a “work in progress”, and we now have a proper 30 A outlet beside the garage. A working outlet. As well, the chiller is now wired in, with one small mod still required. The polarity of the related zone valve was a mystery, so a shout out to the well people has been made. Meanwhile, I wait. The electrician is also going to expand our distribution panel (daughter board), sometime soon.
I found a dead bird in the driveway (starling?). Hope this is something rare, rather than something with a rare disease. We hear about the risks of contagion, and I want to read about it, rather than experiencing something beyond my control.
Hoping to introduce my nephew to the wonder of donair while he is east. Forwarded the link to a validated recipe, in case we don’t have any hands-on opportunity.
