Postponed my cone
I don’t mind home cooking, whether cooked by someone else, or cooked by me. Generally, I manage to clear my plate without canine assistance, and those frequent visits to the grocery store are for a purpose. Still, I have a secondary role; support to the local economy. Yes, we eat out, from time to time, and my intention is to continue for as long as I am able (there; the local restaurateurs can sleep soundly).
In fact, we had as intention to try out the new, local ice cream place, this afternoon. Did our research, made tentative choices from a potential menu, left by car for the destination. And got distracted. Having a bowl of ice cream might “ruin” our supper appetite… why not go for supper, first? Which we did. Seafood at another local landmark. Even knew one of our wait staff by name. Local. And after clearing our plates, we decided to forego the ice cream. Another day.
Meanwhile, summer presses on. Hard to believe that school reopens in a matter of weeks, although I will not be in a queue to enter and learn. Got that life habit under control. We also didn’t go to the beach (heavy rain is a deterrent). And by the time that I get back on the sand… let’s not go there, just yet.
More tick warnings in the press. Seem that the little blighters are a better vector for heavy germs than any mosquito, and the bite and buzz are much harder to notice. I might have to consider wearing something anti-bug, at this pace.
