Lose a bit, win a bit
My visit to a dental clinic, chosen by its important place at the head of an alphabetical list, was fortuitous. I went in, free of expectations and came out “a changed man”. My pain, rooted in the remains of an old root, will now diminish. I will heal! As well, the cost didn’t produce any additional trauma. Thank you, Hope and Angela and Dr.___.
We finally located a market with yogurt and dog kibble, allowing a departure from the city. Out here, wide open spaces allow for wide open streets; without our reliable GPS, we could have wandered for hours, wondering where to turn. The wifi at the campground took a nosedive around the same time I started to experiment with a laptop-based hotspot. Turns out that the local ISP had sone hiccups, so I’ve learned that life without reliable DNS precludes much websurfing. Oh well. Maybe later.
Guess what? My iPad charger has resurfaced. Beneath and behind my secondary seat. No matter. I can now visit inside anywhere and avoid total battery depletion. Some investigation of our own electrical system allowed granting new “life” to several of the wall outlets. Hurrah!
And the wind is up. A lot. Watching the dog trying to balance on three legs despite gusts provided cheap amusement. I hope he didn’t hear me laughing. Meanwhile, I’ve retreated to the laundry area which doubles as a “free wifi zone”. Yes, we have paid fir access. Yes, I accept compromise when my need to posrpt is imminent. Midnight in another time zone means less wiggle room on this “daily” obligation.
