Slowly unveiling the spring schedule
My schedule, for most of the winter, was predicated by regular medical appraisals. Specifically, eyeball pressure, which can only be tested by extremely qualified individuals, available according to their schedules. Although, for the record, I’ve met a number of nurses that can provide the same level of accuracy, even if they aren’t allowed to record things. A glitch in the fabric of my universe.
Anyway, today was another test day. Get in the car, drive for eighty minutes, wait until my eyeball gets touched, get sent off to wait for an unpredictable number of days. And so, today, with my eyeball “looking good”, I pushed that envelope, and received a hiatus of ten weeks. The timing fits in well with my doctor’s vacation plans. Mine, too. We’re now ready to proceed with our spring schedule. To celebrate, I bought more fuses for the RV macerator pump.
We also counseled some other shoppers on the best “bubbly water apparatus”, so the day was a success.
If the warm weather continues, and the HVAC guy shows up, we could be ready to dewinterize our lives. Still no dates marked on the fridge calendar, but that’s just for show. We actually schedule on impulse. And in concert with the local garage, because our annual vehicle inspection has to be done before some other deadline (it’s on a sticker, outside, and it’s dark, and I’m not going out to add precision. Maybe tomorrow).
Another political party stopped by this morning, so my pile of propaganda is growing. As I watch the polls, I realize that the province might be ready for a change of heart. We’re too small to remain locked into feudal tendencies, tugging at the coat tails of those who have lordly aspirations.
