Best advice: keep your money
Some stories write themselves. For example, Netflix has prepared a documentary about the lifestyle of a rock group, and the shocking thing is that it is shocking (for those who know absolutely nothing about the prevarications of young, on-the-road musicians).
Some other stories do not, but should. Right now, the noise level is up, following an article in the NY Times, which pointed out that some very well placed American politicians are trying to get nuclear technology into the hands of the Royal House of Saud. No matter that there are laws against such transfers; there is also a lot of loose cash, and we know what trumps virtue (or public safety) in the wild lands south of here. Keep an eye on this one, just in case we’re getting a sanitized, late to the party version.
And meanwhile, here in Canada, there is increased polarization over whether we need new pipelines. Funny how the detail about cleanup responsibility is never mentioned. I would go with “the owner of the mess has to clean it up when there is a leak”. If it affects the bottom line, then there’s a sign that the industry isn’t particularly profitable. I’ll wait for the next chapter in this one.
Outside, cold. No surprise there.
Inside, warm. As it should be. Today, I received an offer from the generator people, offering an extended warranty. And so I Googled the question of “should I or not”. One dealer posted in the user forum that owners would be better off to keep their funds in their own pocket. From where he stands, the company wouldn’t choose a price that gave them less than a win. I understand the premise.
