The winter was washed away
And then the great rain came, and washed away our winter. We’ve gone from white to muddy, although that, too, will pass. Unlike a generation ago, when we locked ourselves into big boots and coats for months at a time, now we get to vary our dress code. On the positive side, all the snow on the deck has moved on, without any shovel play.
I happened to read a product review on a consumer site this evening, and had to ask: but why? One of the big home appliance manufacturers offers a large, two loads at a time washer. OK. And it comes with wifi. OK? You see, although you can’t actually control the machine from your smartphone, it can email you to notify that a load has successfully completed. No transfer to the dryer, yet. The review mentioned that it would be a useful feature for people living in multi-level homes. What the? Are you the evolution of the Brady Bunch? Who gets to say “Yes, Jan”? Probably seemed like a neat idea, during the brainstorming session, but I’m unsure this is what will tilt the decision makers. Not in my home, at least.
Video game updates under way, here. The Internet is deep in the mud, since early this morning.
I have learned that my dog will eat vegetables, plural, if they come from a meal containing meat (my meal). Buddy, you’re not going to get ahead with that sort of uninformed nutrition. Dogs are carnivore, and no broccoli or bean replacement will change that.
