One of your lights is dark

posted in environment |

To the gentleman that let us know that one of the lights was “out’ on the car, thank you. I guess. We were already inside the community centre, and so later, much later, I was given the chance to verify things. For the record, one of the fog light will need a new bulb. Why it was even turned on will remain as a mystery.

This was a trivia night. We lost. We were beaten in the after-game round of rock/paper/scissors which serves to settle stalemates.  For third place. Yes, we lost. I probably will miss the next session, on New Year’s Eve. Trivial note: I hope to be “away”, with good TV choices available.

For a change, our team did very well on the musical clues. However, not so well at naming songs, while some C&W played on the sound system. Too much information, while trying to fit lyric strings to every seasonal melody we remembered.

The dog is wearing a wreath of bells. Seasonal attire. I hope he can find it in his heart to forgive us. Meanwhile, he should be safe from wandering coyotes.

I took the time to read a long but informative article by a former British politician. He laid out the case why that vote to leave the local trade treaty group (Google “Brexit”) is not going to finish well. When your adversaries in a discussion of that sort already know your strategies, you have to have arguments that are solid. Unfortunately, wanting to wave your own flag more often may not qualify.
