Finally! Some football
Sunny day. Some new snow. Just enough to make installation of the new wiper blades into a game of snow removal. In passing, the tractor that clears our lane also stopped by. Winter has started.
I had nothing better on my list of “things to do” than to check out our new TV channel. And there it was, university football (for the first time this season). Playoff action, with the Rouge et Or showing the competition from Antigonish the ropes. 63-0. Playoff finals next week.
And for the rest of my afternoon, a second game. This time, Western vs. USask. The Mustangs will be across the field from ULaval next Saturday, and I’ll have the best seat in the place. Inside, with the dog and the fridge. I’m sure that tailgate parties are wonderful, but it could also turn into a raging snow storm. Canada, eh!
Trying to figure out what a Black Friday sale could mean for me. There’s not many sites with ads, just yet, so this is really just virtual shopping. The chance of a sudden drop in price, to sweeten things; I don’t need to spend, but in the case where the bargain is too good to refuse…
Skipping local trivial pursuit, this evening. Too late and not enough interest on my part; something about the format, as well. Too many long questions with the response filed containing references to all fifty states, over and over again. My reason is trivial, but I prefer to stay home. The dog, the fridge, the best seat in the place.
