Could have thrown caution to the wind
Had an invitation to go shopping this afternoon, in the musical supply store in the city. I could have thrown caution to the wind, spend like a profligate amateur; I didn’t. My adult moment, shining. Please, may I have a raincheck?
No, I went for more practical things. Windshield wipers, to ensure moments of clarity on the highway. I had to settle for two out of three, when the store was unable to identify the correct model for the rear window (to match my car model). I’ll stay with the OEM install, for now. Don’t really need to see out the back window, in any case, given the backup camera. Also, there’s this dog head that is usually found in my field of vision.
We did go for a meal. Fake BBQ. Too much on the platter to finish, but I’m willing to accept that meal portions can be oversized. I had the best part of the selection, before bowing out.
There was nothing in the mailbox. Been like that for several days now, which indicates that strike/lockout moments do slow the steady trickle of satellite TV ads, if nothing else. Speaking of satellite, we did add another channel (something sporty) earlier this week, after recovering the lost password. This could lead to bigger things: an increase in monthly fees, as a minimum.
Tomorrow, another storm incoming. I really should plant those reflector stakes before the action becomes pointless. The plow man knows the rough dimensions of our lane, but adding red targets will assure that he leaves the lawn alone. Probably.
