Off to the roadside
Today, I tied up some loose ends in my Cape Breton families. Lot of musical cousins over there. Not my cousins; their own, but you get the idea. Follow the threads and see where you end up. From my perspective, the connections to the Island are clear; sail to the shore you can see, first of all.
And then, unexpectedly, a chance to watch a new movie. I think I was part of the Kickstarter, but I remember that I checked the anonymous donor box, so I had to wait for visual charity. Fun, if only from trying to figure out if I knew anyone in the background. I certainly recognized some of the beaches, and that’s the whole point.
On my “to do, someday” list was the opportunity of turning two malfunctioning espresso machines into one. I delayed, and time ran out. They’re neatly bagged and deposited by the roadside, in the hope that the big truck will come by tomorrow. A storm is announced, so I might pick up another month of running out the clock. Little matter, as we have a better machine now, but the challenge…
Another chapter in the Great Grifter saga, today. Back last year, after certain insults to the opposition, the Great Orange Blob threatened to donate a million dollars to charity, if DNA results proved his premise. Today, the results came back, and he lost his bet. At which point he stated that he had never made any such promise. The recorded video doesn’t lie, but his followers don’t get it.
