Did anyone else get the warning?

posted in politics, technology |

Thankfully I was warned in advance. Don’t eat fiddleheads from NB, this season. One question, though; do they harvest those little green bits with SCUBA, because floods. As well, there are hungry moose on the highways.  Again, because floods. No more “drive through province” jokes, either.

Around here, we’re moving straight in to summer. I’m not sure, but I think I saw a dandelion this afternoon. Small, yellow, on my lawn? Yep. Identification confirmed.

I’ve also put the hummingbird feeder back outside. Sightings are confirmed just outside “the city”, so it’s a matter of days. In fact, I keep watching the deck, to see if we’re being zoomed yet. As of five minutes ago, no.

Election fever in Ontario is now a thing. No vaccinations possible. What’s up with that one party hiring actors to flesh out their rallies? And paying less than minimum wage? Only one pretendent to the throne (provincial) would dare to test the spirit of unions in that manner.  One month, and a few more gaffs before we know whether the new westward limit to sanity is Montreal.

Big “emergency test announcement” period underway. Failed for over half of the population, so far. Here, the official moment was 1355 ADT, and I placed our array of phones and tablets, the better to capture any passing signals. One phone succeeded. Guess that we’ll have to keep the battery charged going forward, or risk missing word that the world is about to end. Or that there’s a snow storm on the way, and we need to stock up on milk and Doritos.
