Great performances (not)

posted in environment |

Congratulations to all of you who sat through the great Teleprompter Performance, last evening. I didn’t, but the press brought me the highlights this morning, in keeping with fine theater. The fact checkers have done due diligence, and the fictional core was up to par. Now, looking forward; can this be the last performance by this reality TV host? Please?

Here at home, I was keeping an eye on day two of our storm. No big deal, given that I had little reason to actually go anywhere. There was one short burst of adrenaline, when I had to go out and corral a section of sheet metal that had blown down from the east side of the roof edge. In an ice storm, special skills are needed. My biggest fear was that an unexpected gust would see me with an open gash on a cheek; didn’t happen. Could have. Today, I recognized that I won’t be able to put things back without intervention from others more skilled than I. Too high for my baby ladder (and sense of vertigo).

Spent today looking forward. After all, winter is half done (right??) I’m sorry that our chance to watch the super duper blue moon red eclipse came down to nothing at all, in heavy cloud cover. There’s always YouTube for those moments. Now I can get back to important sights, like the Scotties. Games played in Penticton have a terrible timezone delay, but the scores are online. Next up, the Olympics. Again, timezones. TV can’t solve everything.
